Fairmont-Emoriland

Fairmont-Emoriland is named for its two beautiful, wide, tree-lined streets, Fairmont and Emoriland Boulevards, which run parallel to one another. The neighborhood was developed in the 1920’s with slightly larger lot sizes than some of the older, closer-in neighborhoods, but everything is still on a human scale with easy walkability. First Creek runs in various spots through the neighborhood, in some cases actually bisecting neighbors’ yards. In 2002 Fairmont-Emoriland received a Neighborhood Conservation overlay, which provides guidelines for new construction and additions to existing homes, protecting the integrity of the beautiful homes of the neighborhood.
