Lindbergh Forest
Though now regarded as a close-in neighborhood, Lindbergh Forest was one of the original suburban neighborhoods, with plenty of green space and curvy streets that provided motorists with a pleasurable drive on their daily commutes into town. Featuring housing styles ranging from Tudor Revival to Cape Cod to two of the only Lustron houses in the city, Lindbergh Forest is very charming, eclectic and unique. A five-minute drive or bike ride from downtown, this neighborhood is directly across Chapman Highway from Fort Dickerson Park and also very close to the Urban Wilderness Gateway Park.
