Parkridge
Northeast of downtown, Parkridge is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Knoxville and features some of the most beautiful architecture in the city. For anyone who appreciates the Victorian style, Parkridge is a must-see with a large selection of homes designed by one of the most popular architects of the era, George F. Barber. One of the original streetcar suburbs, the neighborhood was and is very walkable, and residents enjoy the Cansler YMCA, the businesses along Magnolia Avenue, and Caswell Park within Parkridge and Downtown, the Knoxville Botanical Gardens, Zoo Knoxville, and the University of Tennessee in very close proximity.
